Dr Cliff Harvey was our guest speaker at our AGM this year and he delivered an interesting presentation about the very fascinating world of mushrooms.
Mushrooms have been used for millennia as both food and medicine and are now surging in popularity due to renewed interest in their traditional uses and emerging research on their profound functional and medicinal properties.
Cliff talked about the history of mushroom use around the world, delved into the world of foraging for wild mushrooms, and explored the evidence supporting the benefits of the most common supplemental mushrooms.
